Hi there. Call me Gerry.

I am a multimedia specialist at the UConn Foundation, where I help tell the story of philanthropy and alumni engagement at the University of Connecticut using a mix of video, still photography and motion graphics.

Before relocating to New England in late 2016, I spent nearly a decade as a staff photojournalist at The Dallas Morning News in Texas. I covered a variety of subjects across the country, and the work of I and my colleagues was recognized by a variety of national awards organizations, including the Pulitzer Prizes (2016 finalist) and National Edward R. Murrow Awards (2016).

I like meeting new people and telling stories, so to get paid to do just that — all while pushing myself as a visual artist — is a real honor. I’m grateful for every opportunity I get.

I live near Hartford with my wife, two kids and three cats. It’s … a loud house.

Have any other questions? Drop me a line.
