I got yer’ "exit polls" right here, sucka!!
Hey gang …
Well, I meant to post yesterday, but in between being shredded from work Tuesday night (getting to that … hold on), and then having to drive up to northwest Missouri and back for a forthcoming project, I was in no shape to write anything more than a dirty limerick …
["Hickory dickory doc! ..."]
Anyway, just wanted to point you all to our coverage of mid-terms here in Mid-MO. I must say, I’m prouder than hell of everyone that worked on election stuff at the Trib — we pulled together and came up with a great product for our online edition that night (really, it was mid-morning by the time things were all clear) and for the following day’s print publication.

You can click on the picture above or here to launch a photo slideshow of our election coverage. If you’ve time on your hands and a curiosity about Missouri politics, click here to view the full election web page, with some great work by reporters Jason Rosenbaum … and Greg Miller. Obviously there were several other reporters who worked Tuesday, but Vanilla Ice and SuperNerd are the only two who read this journal … so there.
In other news, color me totally surprised by the Blue Seat Bonanza (that’s right — I coined it!! Hands off, Colbert!). Always the pessimist, I’d figured we (yes, we … taking my “objective journalist” hat off for a minute [and really, it's more like a beanie], I am, for all purposes, a tax-and-spend, waffle-stomping, commie-pinko liberal) would be lucky to get the House.
But here we are, with the whole enchilada in our grimy little hands. Oh, and pass the salsa — Rummy’s outta here. And who would have known that could happen??
Say what you will, the man was a poet …
Cheers!
