New job, new card, new kicks
It goes like this …
I’ve spent a couple of months working on content for a great, big ol’ update — multimedia, lots of pix, funny stories, etc. Basically, anything and everything to explain the lack of posting and my current whereabouts.
The thing was, the more I planned and worked, the more convoluted and messy everything got. I was using a big brush to paint myself into a tiny corner. So, I said to hell with it. Let’s start from scratch, shall we?

Seven weeks ago I opened a new chapter in my life and career and started working on staff at The Dallas Morning News. It’s been an incredible experience so far. Everything about this job has exceeded my expectations quite a bit, which says a lot as my expectations were high.
Michelle (and the cats!) will be moving up some time early next year. As much as it pains her inner Fort Worthian, we’re Dallasites for some time to come, unless people here catch on that I steal food from employee fridges (there are four on this floor alone!) and horde office supplies (one can never, ever have too many Post-It Notes).
So anyway, that’s where I’m at. Things are busy here but I do plan to return to regular posting. Less of the wacky, over-produced stuff (just don’t have the time) and more of the quick-hit, random musings. This town (and job) is ripe with fodder for my kind of humor.
Until then. Thanks for your patience.
Cheers,
